Throat Cancer Increasing Among White Americans

The rate of throat cancer, or adenocarcinoma of the esophagus, has risen steadily among white Americans over the past 3 decades, according to a new report. Brown suggests that "primary prevention such as modifications in diet and physical activity and control of GERD symptoms may be able to slow this trend.

3 Month Favorability Trends: McCain Continues Upward

On June 4, 2008, John McCain's total favorable rating was 53% and Obama's 55%. On July 7th it was 54%/56% Obama leading. August 7th, it was 56% McCain, 54% Obama. Today, 8/26, shows McCain viewed favorably by 57% and Obama sliding to 53%, in spite of being in the middle of his convention, where historically all candidates have tracked upward.
